Project Bundles

What is a “Kitterly project bundle”?

Kitterly project bundles include everything you need to make a pattern from cast-on to bind off. We include a digital copy of the pattern, the yarn the pattern recommends (or our favorite substitute), the recommended knitting needles, tools and notions.

Why is the yarn different than the yarn listed in the pattern?

The yarns we recommend for each project bundle have been thoroughly discussed by our product team to ensure that your Kitterly project will turn out like the sample knit by the designer. Sometimes the yarn listed in a great knitting or crochet pattern is no longer available, not available in the right amounts, or not one that we carry at this time.

What if I just want to buy yarn? Or a cable needle? Or a 16” US 9 circular?

Don't want the whole bundle? No problem! To order just the tools and materials you need (i.e. not a project bundle) just click over to our “general store” to shop our full selection of yarn, knitting needles, crochet hooks, notions, crafting accessories and gifts.

How do I make my project look like the picture shown?

We do our best to supply you with everything so your project can turn out just as lovely as the sample shown. However, it is crucial that you get the correct stitch gauge before beginning your project.

How do I know my project will fit?

Each project bundle has as much fit and sizing information as possible, that being said every designer has a different way of sizing so keep in mind that fit and size options will vary from design to design. After finding a pattern that you like in your size, it is crucial to get gauge before starting your project. If you do not get gauge, it is highly likely that your project won't fit as it should.

I'm stuck, can you help me with my project?

Unfortunately, no. At this time, our team is still too small to offer project help/coaching/counseling. We are working towards creating a project help center. If you are really stuck, we recommend joining the designer's Ravelry group and asking for help in the forums. We find fellow crafters are tremendously helpful!

Ordering

Can I order over the phone?

Sorry, we are not able to take orders over the phone at this time.

Can I order a hard-copy pattern instead of digital?

Sorry, we do not offer print patterns on Kitterly.com. Because paper patterns can get ripped, chewed up, spilled on, and accidentally tossed out with the junk mail, we decided to go fully digital. Once you purchase a pattern on Kitterly, you'll be able to access that pattern 24/7 online!

How do I make changes to an order?

Send us an email, and be sure to include as much detail about the changes you want to make.

How do I get more yarn for my project bundle?

If you know you're going to need more yarn (maybe you want longer sleeves, or a larger blanket) we recommend adding it to your cart before checking out. This way we can ensure that you get the right dye-lot. If you need to order more yarn after you've received your order in the mail, contact us ASAP with your name, the yarn name, color name and dye-lot information and we will see what we can do. Please note that we cannot guarantee that we will be able to get more yarn in the same dye-lot after you place your order.

Returns

Can I return or exchange leftover yarn?

Yes! As long as the yarn was purchased at full price, and is in the original label in truly unused condition, you are welcome to return unused yarn for store credit within 30 days of receiving your order. For more information on our return policy please go here: RETURNS

Can I return or exchange yarn I don't like?

Yes! We understand that the color and texture of a yarn can look different on different computer monitors. Please go here to get more information on how to return your yarn: RETURNS

Can I return project bags and needle cases?

Yes! Accessories like project bags and needle cases can be returned for store credit within 30 days, as long as they are in new, unused condition. Please go here to get more information on our return policy: RETURNS

Can I return books? Patterns?

Can I return knitting needles or crochet hooks?

What if my knitting needles are defective? Can I replace them?

We will take returns on items damaged in shipment. Defective needles are eligible for exchange.

Shipping

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes! All US orders over $125 automatically receive free shipping via USPS with tracking. For domestic orders under $125 we charge according to purchase amount. You can find our full shipping policy here. Please note, we have no control over what happens to the package after we hand it over to the delivery agent. Because of that, we are not responsible for orders lost in the mail.

We do also ship to select countries outside of the United States. Countries are: Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, and Australia. Rates can be found here.

Just placed my order, when will I receive my shipment?

Hooray! We make every effort to ship your order as quickly as possible, usually within 3 business days of receiving your order. You will receive a tracking number with your order when it's shipped.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

We currently don’t offer expedited shipping, but are working on implementing that very soon.

Do you offer insurance on shipments?

Insurance is not included in shipping costs and Kitterly is not responsible for packages that are lost in the mail. Please contact us if you would like to arrange to add insurance to your shipping.
